Poem of Repetition

Sometimes if you pretend hard enough
You become what you pretend
Sometimes if you convince yourself
You will believe
But sometimes you are who you are
You have not changed
Only how people see you has changed
Sometimes you are the same on the inside
You cannot escape
Sometimes you can only wish
You can't do what you want
Sometimes you just give in
You let yourself be everything you hate
Sometimes you are you
And that is too much to bear
Sometimes life is what you make of it
You follow the flow
Sometimes you are what you are
And you hide inside yourself
Hoping you are never found
